Margaret Thatcher in dominatrix costume whipping cabinet ministers in schoolboy uniform. That's how I recall that whole era. It isn't a pretty picture, but you did ask. |

Chuck Norris, I'm surprised there isn't a model out there yet. Sylvain of Golgo Island fame happens to be working on 4 poses of the same mini that might work. I believe he's currently refering to it as "Action Dude" link <innocently>I can't imagine why he'd do 4 poses of the same mini</innocently> |

I have dim memories of Gamers in Exile (a London shop) carrying a Class War range in 25mm. Thatcher, Reagan, policemen with pig faces, and the like. Always regret not buying those at the time. Anyone own them? |

Danmer, absolutely, I din't buy them either but remember the ads, iirc Reagan was in cowboy getup with two pistol-crossbows and they had an undead taxman and a Scargillite, Kids today probably haven't got a clue what we're going on about ;-) |

Blimey, history finished in 1914 in my day! The subsequent unpleasantnesses were probably classed as current events or somesuch, and that was in the 80s not the 50s before you ask ;-). |

I think you will find, according to Sellers and Yeatman, that History ended in 1918 when Britain ceased to be Top Nation. The new Top Nation, of course, being America. |

Hi All; I've actually just joined this forum, which I found while searching for the Gamers In Exile Class War figure range online, and was led to this discussion – the only place on the web I've found anything about the figures so far. The reason I was searching for them is simply that I designed them for GiE – the first job I ever had, in fact. I have a complete set somewhere, and pictures too, but they're all currently in storage. One day I will dig them out and photograph them; I wish I had the adverts for them still though. They were meant to accompany a hybrid computer/board RPG that Peter O'Toole, the owner of GiE and designer of the Cry Havoc series of mediaeval board games, was going to work on. Sadly the game never happened, and the figures are all that remains as far as I know. |

Hi Maldoror, welcome! would love to see some pics of those class war figures. It was quite a while ago I saw the adverts in old MW or possibly MM?? Enjoy TMP, it gets a bit rambunctious occasionally but that's usually when its at its most amusing
. |
Maldoror | 10 May 2013 6:04 a.m. PST |
Hi Timbo Thanks for the welcome and the heads up too. It will be a while until I have access to the pictures again; I think i know where they might be in storage, but as it's in another country so it will be a while before I can search out the photos. The adverts were definitely in MM; not sure about MW or even White Dwarf. I have a bunch of the latter in storage too, but that's going to take even longer to find. I have the masters in a box somewhere along with examples of all the finished metal versions
also in storage! |
