I finished my modular camps today. They are a pair of tents on 40x40 bases and four 40x20 bases with mules and camp followers. These make two ancient camps with the ability to substitute out one or both of the camp follower bases for any garrison. link Also with these is a Spanish camp using figures from CB Infantry command pack. |

Nice! But why did Princess Leia kill that poor goat? |

Good question! Yes, you can say she's the the 'dama de Elche' all you like, but who are you kidding! The tableau is based on the cover of the Osprey "Rome's Enemies (4) : Spanish Armies 218-19 BC": link The only altar I could find had a sacrificial victim on it, and as I had a druidess with a dagger, it seemed to fit. |

That's awesome! I really like the vignette out of the Osprey, the woman chucking an amphora, and the shields on the scutari! |

Thanks. I'm hoping the sacrifice will provide good auspices for my dice-rolling! The scutarii shields are done using VVV transfers. Others think that woman's smashing an amphora, so any attempt to argue she's really just carrying it and staggering under its weight seems doomed; not sure how that will play out in giving character to the armies that have those tents. |

I did some more of these camps a while back; there are some pictures here: link I'd not used the mules as I'd designed them, so I rebased them. I've also just finished a camp for Mithridates (he used a stage, a stallion and a bull to guard his camp):
