I think I saw this poll done back in '07 or '08 so I figured it was time to drag it out again!

No "wars" if possible, just your favorite 10 battles that you must wargame before you die (include them even if you have already played some or all of them). Include years too when known.

Mine:

St. Privat 1870 link
Mimigawa 1578 link
4th Kawanakajima 1561 link
Sekigahara 1600 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sekigahara
Grunwald 1410 link
Barnet 1471 link
Bannokburn 1314 link
Towton 1461 link
Bosworth 1485 link
Plancenoit 1815 link

Phew. That was tougher than I thought. Interesting to see how my battles have changed in just a couple of years. And I have gamed none of them so far! Hoping to change that this year.

I look forward to your choices!

Well .. I'd personally like to add a twist to my choices, since I have studied and gamed a lot of Historical, I'd think picking 10 Historical Battles … But re-fight them with Sci-fi Forces, might be an interesting exercise … But I'd really, really have to think of my "TOP 10" ! evil grin

Daffy Doug15 Apr 2010 10:58 a.m. PST

I've already gamed them all, most of them several-to-many times already….

Martin Rapier15 Apr 2010 12:16 p.m. PST

Is this sort of like you'll die the moment you finish painting all your unpainted lead?

Just to be safe I think I'd like to game more than 10 battles
