I'm looking for American regimental colors to use for the Seminole Wars.I just picked up the Old Glory set, which are very nice BTW,and it comes with standard bearers,soooo..

Hopefully I could use something by GMB,or The Flag Dude. I really don't care for the free offerings found online..

I would imagine that 1812 flags would do and I'm sure the Flag Dude has some. I doubt they were carried in the field but flsgs add to the color of the game.I don't remember seeing any American flags on the GMB list.

Don't recall off the top of my head when National Colors (Stars & Stripes) were first carried, practise was begun before Mexico but not sure if official, yet. The blue National color of 1812 had morphed into the Regimental Flag of the Civil War. So, it is always best guess to use blue Regimental flag. Scott's Tactics of 1830 show two color bearers: one for regimental and the other for state flag. A footnote describes if "but one color is with the battalion."

Bob – Vaubanner Graphics does three sets of American Regiments for the Northern Campaigns, and eleven sets of British and Canadian Regiments for the North and New Orleans:

95thRegt,

Email me and I will send you some digital flags that I made up for my 25mm/28mm Seminole Indian War forces… U.S. regulars, marines, and various state militias.
