In 15s, Quality Castings/Battle Honors does, but they come in packs mixed with other figs. |

DoH! should have specified 25/28 mm |

The Assault Group offers one as a bonus figure if you buy a certain amount of product. Battle Honors has one in (I think) their Command pack. Other than that I can't think of any others. |

Nazrat, Thanks for the lead, but can't find pictures of either model with my search fu. TAG looks to have a lot of cool models though. Matt
P.S. I played in your Saturday Tarawa game at Cold Wars. 1. great game and scenery (the game & the free pack of Japanese officers got me committed to working on Pacific War) 2. did you ever post or find any pictures of the game on the web? I wanted to show some folks back home. 3. It's also nice to put a name/face with the internet persona. :) |

Matt, The TAG guy is listed here- link but there is no picture. They USED to show all their special offer models, but not so much any more. Take it from me the sculpt is VERY nice, though. Unfortunately Battle Honors has never had any pictures up of their stuff. Pics of my game here-- link I did post the link in an earlier TMP thread but you must have missed it. Thanks for playing! |

West Wind has one with a walkie-talkie and Battle Honors has one with the command pack firing from the waist. |

Coupla scenes in "The Pacifiic" had Marines using shotguns to repel attacks. That surprised me. |

The TAG Marine with shotgun is not a stand-out figure. You'll probably be a little disappointed. |

The shotguns proved effective enough at short combat ranges to elicit a diplomatic protest from the German government, claiming the shotguns caused excessive injury, and that any troops found in possession of them would be subject to execution. During the trench warfare of the Gallipoli Campaign, Major Stephen Midgley of the Australian 5th Light Horse Regiment was widely known to use a sawn-off double barrelled shotgun while leading his troops, the weapon's effectiveness resulting in Turkish officers complaining that it was not a 'weapon of war' under international law after Midgley took one Turkish soldier's head "clean off his shoulders". Midgley was ordered by an Australian general to cease using his shotgun and switch to a conventional rifle and bayonet, to wit the Major was "bitterly peeved". |

Kind of off topic, but since Rhino mentioned shotgun use in WW I, the Winchester '97 pump shotgun was extensively used for trench warfare in that conflict. It was known as the "trench sweeper" as you can hold back the trigger and rapidly pump out your shots. Believe it or not, men that were good "trap" shooters were also spaced along the trenches to shoot at incoming grenades! I own and use a Winchester '97 in "Cowboy Action" competition where we fire light loads at steel targets, which is fun, but I've tried firing standard "00" Buckshot and also "slugs" out of that gun and let me tell you, with it's standard military steel butt plate that sucker *hurts* to shoot. I have a lot respect for any soldier that had to fire one all day long, especially "rapid fire", because his shoulder would have looked like it was whacked with a meat tenderizer. LOL For those of you that want to see what a Winchester '97 looks like in action, watch "The Wild Bunch" and/or "The Professionals". |
