I am surprised by the apparent lack of 28mm figures for spec ops and PMCs. Certainly few that reflect the "modular" nature or modern military equipment and kit in use by spec ops.
Having searched the forums here I keep seein the same ranges come up.

It almost seems like this would be suited for "modular" figures liek the SWAT range made by Eureka, with a variety of legs bodies, heads and weapon arms?

Is there anything like this available, apart from the fore mentioned SWAT team?
If not would anybody be interested in supporting it, via say the Eureka 100/300 club?

It is in 15mm :)

In 1/48 HLBS have a cool range of SWAT and Future Warrior types… but not in 28mm sadly….

Yes I know HLBS and they are great, but not my scale.

So no interest in 28mm then?

You might want to look at Stan Johansen's 28mm line. He has Iraqi security (among others) in 28mm with seperate arms and weapons. They are as close to modular as you will get in this scale currently.

Have a look at the new Empress SAS range. Perfect for PMCs I'd say.

OK thanks I'll check those out.

I modeled Mine on SWAT figures not being to concerned what type of weapon they carry, the problem with this being SWAT don't have heavy weapons.

I would second the Empress SAS – haven't seen them in person yet, but I'm strongly considering them for paramilitary / armed survivors. I think they fit the special ops / PMC role well.

I use them for well-armed zombie apocalypse survivors, but they should fit as PMC / special ops perfectly.
