Something of an historic event, considering how silent the blog has been.

Best way I have found to post pictures that can be expanded is as follows:

1) Download Microsoft Live Writer for free
2) Download Picasa for free
3) Set up a Picasa web album
4) Log your blog into Live Writer
5) Transfer your photos to Picasa and edit if required
6) Export from Picasa at 800 pixels or larger
7) Import the picture into the blog post in Live Writer
8) Publish the post

You will find Live Writer will import the pictures in a small thumbnail format and put a link to the Picasa album to allow simple expansion when clicked.

You can add drop shadows and make minor changes in Live Writer and use Picasa to handle the original cut / retouching as required.

Have a look at link this shows small thumbnails, click for larger and also shows the collage option in Picasa in one post grin

Hope this helps
