I've posted pictures of the new range extension, now available for pre-order to ship from 6th April or collection at Salute.

I will be doing a proper news update for these and other ranges when I get more pictures (and moulds!)

I am not familiar with the "fluff" or back stories behind many of your figures. Can you recommend some reading material?

John,

A good book is 'The English Highwayman' by Peter Haining

There are a couple of websites which have good links to reference material :

outlawsandhighwaymen.com

stand-and-deliver.org.uk

wikipedia has info and links on many of them too. For the Bow Street Runners, there are lots of links on the net … we've done figures for the very start of them, but may well do further figures to represent the more official force that came later (if there is enough interest)

Regards,
Jeff

John as a must you have to see about getting a copy of the TV series city of Vice which is 5 or 6 episodes marking the founding of the Bowstreet runners.

you can watch them here

Always be careful with the late Peter Haining: he made all sorts of things up (see my blog entry "Peter Haining and Spring-Heeled Jack" here): link

I haven't read much about highwaymen, but James Sharpe's "Dick Turpin: The Myth of the English Highwayman" (Profile, 2004) is an entertaining piece of debunking.

The blind man second left on Jeff's preview page is, I assume, John Fielding, brother of the more famous Henry ("Tom Jones", "Joseph Andrews", "Jonathan Wild" etc). So there's some dem good reading for a start.

I have the whole range and they are very nice figures overall. They are a joy to paint.

Terrific range and a joy to paint.

OT
Jeff I sent you a couple of emails last week re Aztecs. Could you check your spam folder in case they've been eaten.
Cheers
Steve
