The Board is made for a Koenig Krieg Variant for Napoleonics. If you have a good idea you might notice it is in fact Waterloo. We are refighting Ligny in playtesting and soon will be fighting Waterloo. The Board is made by Big Gav a master terrain maker IMO. :) The frame was made and a the top placed on the frame. Then the surface was coverd in thick PVA and sand. Left to dry and then painted brown and then drybrushed a lighter brown. Next, Loads of PVA and Flock were thickly coated over the whole board except in a few patches to get the look of mud or dirt (also stops the board looking baad if the flock comes of). Once dry Silflor was used to create thicker grass. This also breaks up the sameness of the flock. Next MDF boards of varying thickness were cut to make the hills and the various fileds in the middle of the table. The same applications as the table were employed, sand then flock etc. Lastly little holes were drilled in the various boards so Trees can be placed in the board. And there you have it – Waterloo! Also the hills and fields are not single pieces so if you want you can always make a different landscape by mixing and matching the fields and the hills in different ways. Oh also all the flags were handpainted by master painter Fogropov! :) |

It is always a good thing when the French lose a battle. |
