For my next project I'm thinking of raising a unit of British WW2 paratroops. The scans of plastic figures aren't all that appealing. Is this a fair judgement? What figures could I use? Any metal ranges? Also any advice on vehicles and support weapons would be gratefully recieved. |

I second Pierce on the AB Paras. They are superb. |

The AB paras are the best you can get – but more expensive than those from SHQ and also Battlefield still has a small selection |

The scans of plastic figures aren't all that appealing. Is this a fair judgement? I have the Revell ones and they are perfectly fine in my opinion, though they could have a few more poses: link Still, you get enough stuff to make a whole platoon from a box. |

I have the 1s British Airborne Division for Rapid Fire and the units are made up of AB, Battlefield/Drew's militia original range, SHQ, Platoon 20, FAA and Britannia and they all mix in very well together |

Thank you for the advice. The ABs are (expensive) but nice. As you know, planning your purchases is half the fun so I'll start a little research based on your suggestions. |

Lancashire Games' British paras cost a fraction of the ABs. I heard their 20mm WW2 range is quite nice, though I've never seen them and the website has no images. test.gtns.co.uk |
