A snipper German Rifle from WW2 with night vision. Did any had a picture of it?. Or had it as collector? It's amazing that this weapon had night vision at those days, but I cannot found any reference from were it was used. Any help would be very apreciated. Amicalement Armand |

If I remember right, the Vampir system was an IR flashlight with an optical sight that converted IR into a visible spectrum. Pretty simple, but was still used until the cryogenic thermal imagers came available in Vietnam (and were then replaced by the room-temp thermal imagers in the 1980s or so). |
