A snipper German Rifle from WW2 with night vision.

Did any had a picture of it?.
Or had it as collector?
It's amazing that this weapon had night vision at those days, but I cannot found any reference from were it was used.

Any help would be very apreciated.

If I remember right, the Vampir system was an IR flashlight with an optical sight that converted IR into a visible spectrum. Pretty simple, but was still used until the cryogenic thermal imagers came available in Vietnam (and were then replaced by the room-temp thermal imagers in the 1980s or so).
