I've just noticed my Elite Miniatures French command pack includes an eagle bearer but no staff, flag or eagle.

I can do the staff and I'm sure there's a flag supplier out there too, but does anyone sell eagles and the streamers in 28mm as separate items?

How about 15mm. Does anybody make those?

Elite sells separate packs of eagles, but usually you get an eagle in the command pack that includes the eagle bearer. If it is missing, call Peter Morbey and I'm sure that he will send you the missing eagle.

Not use but I think for 15mm Essex sells poles with eagles. I use to have some but don't have em anymore frown

I use the eagles (and finials with cords for allies) from Bicorne, they are a bit more finely moulded than the Elite or Front Rank ones

I just got a bunch of finials with chords from Victrix and they are also quite fine.

It's also possible to use plastic eagles from Esci "French Infantry" for some 15mm figures, with the staff made from a pin of appropriate size and piercing the eagle. This I've done not because of lack of purpose-made Eagle-bearers, but to convert some other figures for a bit of variety. The quality of these Eagles is rather finer than the heavy lumps cast by Essex, in my view anyway.

Also Steve Barber models do finials and cords.
anyone do a rearing horse finial in 25/28mm for Neapolitians????

Greystreak21 Mar 2010 10:47 a.m. PST

Grecian, you'll probably need to trawl the model car maker forums for a rearing horse figure, probably in someone's 'bits box'.
