So I took advantage of the "free sci-fi refugee" offer from 15mm.co.uk, and ordered a few other items I had wanted but not ordered yet on account of it is ridiculous to order six 15mm minis from overseas. Everything arrived in good shape about a week and a half after I ordered.

My four robots and two dogs are perfect, exactly the size I was looking for. The refugees are a bit on the large size, however, more like these new-fangled "18mm" minis I keep hearing about. The tallest is 17mm to the eyes, and towers over the others in my collection. Another pose is also very tall, but the two "young" poses mix well with the rest of my 15mm collection. But I am very happy that I placed the order, I am always happy to add more civilians/PCs to the collection.

What are they taller than? How are the casts? I am a little afraid of their figs because I thought they were from the 80s--small figs and old molds.

Never had a problem with these guys. Great place to order from.

Hello Impala,

Many thanks for your kind words. We do our best for our customers all over the world.

We have several science fiction lines in 15mm scale on the site and they do vary in 'size' of miniatures dependent on the age of the range.

HOF 15mm sci-fi. This is our modern range and it is in the more modern sizing. 15mm to 18mm in places depending on code.

Laserburn 15mm sci-fi. This is a classic range which is true 15mm scale. So miniatures in it are 'smaller' than those in HOF.

Asgard 15mm sci-fi. This is a classic range but it is larger than true 15mm scale and measures along with HOF.

Oh and the mold are new in the vast majority of codes.

Try us out and see.

Regards,

Alexander Scott

@CPBelt: There are four poses in the Refugess pack, and the tallest is taller than everything else in my 15mm collection, which includes: Essex, Dixon, Asgard, Martian Metals, Khurasan, Rebel, Splintered Light, and Two Dragons. The next tallest is as tall as the tallest Rebel Mini I have, the teenager is about the same size as most of my collection, and the child is just a little shorter than most, what I would expect from a teenager. The castings are clean, and the bases are thicker than I am used to, which adds t the height of figures that are already tall. On the four robots this is a bit of an advantage, because they are being used with my K'kree, which also have very thick bases.

@Alexander: thank for your prompt service and cool minis :)
