I am looking for figures I could use as deck crew and gunners to use with Pulp Figures Japanese landing party so 28mm. I am not particular about accuracy, they are for a pulp game

I realize this isn't helpful at all but might jog the memory banks of some other ancient gamer: Ral Partha made some sailors that I use as Japanese sailors. No racial bias but they are 25mm and provide an excellent basis for a smaller statured individual. I just have no record of what they were called when I bought them 20+ years ago.

Can someone fill in the blanks?

Pyrate Captain:

I believe you're referring to the Ral Partha Sudan Campaign and Zulu War Naval Brigade figures, particularly the gatling gun and Krupp gun crews. Some of those figures have beards, though, which would make them unsuitable for Japanese sailors.

I guess it never occurred to me that Japanese sailors can't grow beards.

It is just as well then that I painted them without beards. But now I am considering locating them, stripping the paint off, sanding down the 25mm stubble and repainting them. OCD.

Although, for the record some Japanese males can grow beards, they're few and far between.

Gamer? OCD? aren't they synonymous?

It's not that they couldn't physically grow beards, but I believe the uniform regulations did not allow it.
