Hi Folks
A quick update on some new bits for you.
I have managed to get a couple of the new desert buildings finished.
I have kept them fairly basic, so that you can easily personalise each one to your own needs.

There are 20 planned with a damaged version of each.
There will be plenty of other shapes and sizes, with loads of domed roofs and sides.

The roofs are removable so that you can put figures inside.

Please let me know what you think.

Hi JJ

I will get some more pics taken.

I have not detailed the insides, there is a lip on the inside which the roof sits on, so you dont realy see the interior. It has been built mainly with a thin foam board and some wood. Textured with a mix of ceiling artex and very fine sand.
I have already started the next two, one of which is two levels.

If I can afford the molding costs I will be making some 28mm.

Interestingly different from the normal Arab style dwelling.

Those are great. I like the simple style so they can be used in a lot of worlds and tech levels.

Here's a question… do they come painted?

Cacique Caribe19 Mar 2010 2:16 p.m. PST

Mike, those are awesome!

Terrement, I wish I could take credit for the Tatooine ones. I hope mine turn out half as nice.

They will come painted, I am just playing with a few other colours , I think they need to be a bit lighter.

I hope to have them available painted in about a week.

They do look good. They could work for 6mm too I think ? And they come unpainted too ?

kmfrye26 Mar 2010 8:06 a.m. PST

These look great. I ordered three of ém yesterday.

I would agree with others that you might sell them primed but unpainted.

Looking forward to theme.

Top notch. The simple, standard colonial method, but you added the perfect tweeks to make it say "sci fi desert")

Yes … unpainted option ?

Armorcast is now getting the hint of the demand potential, it seems:

I've just placed my order for the full set of the Scene desert dwellings:

Could not be more perfect timing Scene. My Birthday is next week and I'm working on Near-Future Arab and African troops as we speak.

PS. I was unable to load about 1/2 of the pictures.

Cheers Dan

As you can see I am out of stock of these at the moment, but have ordered some materials, so as soon as materials arrive I will get them cast.

Mike,

No rush. Take your time. I have lots to deal with at the moment, with my Mom in ICU and all.

I just love your stuff and was waiting for the right time to order (money-wise).

Keep up the great work.

Sorry about your Mom , hope things will be OK.

Thanks, Mike. She's gradually improving, but not yet out of the woods. Pneumonia on an 86-year old is a lot more complicated than for the rest of us.

I wonder if a dome could be added to the top of a couple of those buildings.

You know . . . Tatooine-like:

Boy I like those buildings. And their superb zombie hunters. I must order.
