link QUESTION: What sort of things would you say to your wargaming opponents (or even your boss)? Dan |

More proof that the villian gets the best lines |

My opponents would be responding with: "KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNN!" |
| Sloppypainter | 19 Mar 2010 8:47 a.m. PST |
"No, no, BOss
a raise is not necessary for soon I shall have YOUR JOB, be sleeping with YOUR WIFE, and have your children calling me FATHER!" (Gotta imagine the proper Khanish accent and pointing finger.) I already use this when my wargame buddy makes a good, unexpected move: "Well a flanking movement (or whatever), so, you're not as stupid as I believed. Good, very good." (Again, I use the Khan accent and nod my head frequently while speaking.) |

Sloppypainter, Wow. That first quote is awesome. Almost sounds like the "lamentation of the vimin" line in Conan. Dan |

"Quien es muy macho, Ricardo Montalban e Roberto Stack? Ricardo Montalban es muy macho!" From SNL 30-something years ago & both of 'em were on OST. I should learn the "I spit at thee from Hell" quotation to roar out when my Munchkin is about to die due to my kids ganging up on me! |

Just don't sit on the 'fine Corinthian leather' please

There's a funny story by Montalban in the Star Trek Movie Memories book about his preparation for the Kahn role in ST2
apparently he took the script home and read through it and was appalled to find that it was Mr. Rourke speaking the lines, and not Kahn. He had to borrow the film of the original Space Speed TOS episode and watch it to reclaim the character. Doug |

If I spoke like Khan, apparently I'd be quoting Captain Ahab a lot. (I've always been amused at the fact that The Wrath of Khan is basically a retelling of Moby Dick— with Shatner cast as the White Whale!) |

I'd be too busy with the ladies to even care about wargaming! |

I have to assume you watched the episode of "Big Bang" that was on the other night. I had never watched the show before, but I was painting and could not be bothered to switch the channel (if a reality TV program had come on I would have found the motivation quickly)
.in any case the skinnier guy was quoting Khan all through the show in his effort to avenge a slight delt him by an unaware Will Wheaton. |

I would open a chain of convenience stores in space. "Would you LIKE a SLURPY?" |

One of the funniest Star Trek things I ever saw was a comedian whose name I cannot remember mix Christopher Lloyd characters and come up with A Klingon Commander Kruge speaking as Taxi's Reverand Jim Ignatowski
. Don your Ignatowsky voice
. "So
. Yoooo don know where the Genesis Device is? (blink blink blink) Okie Dokie!" |
