Can anyone tell me if Sash and Sabre SYW range is compatibile with the Front Rank range in size and build?
Thanks.

No. FR are chunkier and shorter, although they are better sculpts and easier to paint, IMHO.

Sash and Saber are more compatible with Old Glory. I have some of both and sometimes have trouble telling them apart after they have been painted.

Here's a posting on my blog where I compare Eureka (Saxons), Front Rank (Prussian), RSM95 (Spanish ex-TLWR and British), Sash and Saber (Prussian), and Crusader (Prussian).

Almost all my Russians and part of my Prussians are Sash and Saber.

A belated thank you for your comments gentlemen (I have not had access to a pc all weekend). I agree with DAF that Front Rank are easy to paint but the SYW figures just dont excite me unfortunately, unlike their Spanish succession range which is IMHO superb. I think I will give The Sash and Sabre range a go, I like the 'movement' they have and I agree with Col Campbell that they could mix with Front Rank on the table (and my friend has just bought a pile of Front Rank Austrians so he needs an opponent). Thanks again.

I've also made a size-build comparison JPG for mid-18th Century figures. It doesn't include Front Rank line infantry next to Sash & Saber, but there are some Front Rank figures to help judge.
