I used a basic U-paint-it sauropod soft vinyl dino like these but it was a generic long neck picture shifted the directions of the body and thus we have Unipod…tri lateral, three sets of eyes, three legs, and one big whip-tentacle-head tail picture

The idea is that it has dozens of pockets of toxic goo/slime all over the body..acid/poison touch…jumpy, whippy, quick, super strong base (resists charge/ram attacks)…360* vision…whips toxic goo/slime at a distance

Very cool. It reminds of this picture of shub-niggurath.

Oh, I like that!
How did you do the eyes? What sticks to that sort of vinyl?

Thanks :) Believe me, in person in the hand this guy is really cool and creepy. I like that image and used it to make pawns for a chess set years ago.

Looking back I suspect this was my inspiration picture

I am looking forward to getting to the painting stage.

*********

The eyes are air-gun pellets (BB's)

The material is green stuff and it sticks quite well actually.

In cases of needing strength, like leg/hip joints, I cut a hole through the vinyl and make a ring inside and out. This allows the sealing material to catch.

I have three others I am working on, but they are in that ugly stage, I should have them ready for WIP viewing by next week.

Thanks for the comments :)

Cool, Nyarlathotep was who I first thought of when I saw it.
Looking forward to seeing it painted.

That pic of Nyarlathotep was what I was thinking of. I got it confused with Shub-Niggurath. I guess that's why I couldn't find the image.

Any thoughts with the description above for colors?

I have been giving it some thought, but my painting skills do not rank highly…I was thinking something along the lines of red, purple, blue…tip of tentacle bright red through blended purple and ending with blue feet.

Any thoughts? Pics with examples of colors/patterns would be appreciated.

A couple updated pics showing a new monster and the original starter dinos. link

28mm This sculpt is VERY cool. I really like how you repurposed the tail as a tentacle. For paint I would go with several different shades of dark purple with "spots" of bright green.

Think of the opposite paint scheme of the Lords of Cthul for Monsterpocalypse picture

I have built a handful of monsters, Unipod being one of them. The color scheme is a good thought. I plan on painting these guys within the week…I may take you up on the purple with green :)
