Several things made me say "What is THAT?????"
Too bad it's not in color.

We used to watch it every year to see what was new in the Soviet Ground Forces. What surprised you?

Didja see all of them Studebakers? Huh? Didja? Some Dodge 3/4 ton weapons carriers, too.

The one thing that made me sad was seeing all those lovely Cossacks and realizing--again--how few 15mm manufacturers know what a horse actually looks like.

I think the triple decker Katyushas made me sit up and scratch my head. The ones that came on just before the Katyushas that I was more familiar with.
I don't know what it was, but the first thing I thought was "Who makes that in 15mm?"

So did the Japanese Admiralissimo. He may have been Chinese. grin

I liked all the limbered guns.

They wear their medals well, don't they?

I think we would see more accurate horses if they could figure ou how to cast their legs without them collapsing in a stiff breeze.
Personally, I LIKE fat legs on a horse. They don't collapse.

I feel robbed. there weren't any T-34s in it. Quite a few JS-3s IMO…

Damon.

Yeah, a BM-8-48:

…but with the lower rails split and half of them moved to a third half-set. It'll be hard to find images of that.

Old Glory 15s manage good horses that don't collapse…

I got to visit the Red Army Museum (er, make that the "Central" Army museum) when I was in Moscow last month. Very cool – especially the display on the Victory Parade with all the Nazi standards strewn on the ground. One thing that struck me was how much like it looked like a Roman Triumph!

What they don't tell you is that they were all captured at once from a storage depot.

But man is that film good propoganda!

Da, I saw the lend lease studebakers. Thought I saw the early JS 85 prototypes too.

Sound ranging units (or air attack early warning by sound detection) mounted on trucks (with what look like Maxson mounts)?

"Too bad it's not in color."

There is this, but I wouldn't take the tonal reproduction as gospel.
