Hi Generals, Is the AB range of 15/18 mm Napoleonics ever increased? I quite fancy some Austrians wearing casquet headgear for a French Revolutionary Wars Campaign project. Does Tony Barton ever add to the range. Cheers C |

Now and again he produces a few gems, Empress Dragoons, Spanish, Russian Militia (can never spell Opilonchie!), Young Guard, nothing on his WWII side though! He did some early Austrians in his Battle Homours days, now available from Timecast in Shrewsbury Tally Ho! |

I did not attend any conventions this past year so I am not sure but Eureka USA always had new releases at the conventions in the line. Check the link for Eureka USA and AB in the manufacturers page on TMP and click on the new itmes it will give you all the posting here on TMP from them. VR James Mattes |

Other than the odd release here & there for Napoleonics I've read that Mr. Barton is done with small-scale modelling due to health reasons. I wouldn't expect any new ranges of figures
just fill-ins and oddities for existing lines. |

I am building 15mm Revolution. I have AB, Battle Honors, Chariot, and new-school Mini-Fig/GFI. I will be ordering Essex soon. The AB were nice but a little big. The Chariot had the best "Revolutionary poses" for the French and have the most exaggerated features, making them easier to paint. I liked them the best of all the lines, but some of the figures are small. Battle Honors has nice Austrians and I'm told they were sculpted by the same guy. Do not buy their French as the molds are getting old and worn. Believe it or not I like my new Mini-Fig GFI 15mm French. But I mix them in with Chariot and Battle Honors to add variety. They lack interesting poses, but are nice figures. I have not bought any Essex but I will be getting them next. |

They already do Austrians in Casquets. ;) link They appear to be gone from the Australian Eureka site, so maybe they are going away? Look as good as any other AB sculpt, don't be scared by lack of pictures! |

Wasn't there a rumor that AB is resculpting the Austrians in Kaskett?? |

That would be great assuming he doesn't make them 20mm giants like the 1807 Russians in Greatcoats. :-) |

Sounds like I need to buy AB for Guards units, and someone else's for everything else
*shrug* I can deal with that! |

I would encourgage AB to make a brand new French Revolutionary range in 1 / 72 scale. |

Dragoon and Cuirassier casualties is his new and (as usual) beautifully sculpted and very cleanly cast offerings! I just spent ten minutes trying to find a seam line or flash to clean off of them, but found NOTHING!!! Love them ABs! |

Please Rob, share any french revoluion info with the world; are there any fortcoming. I have to decide to follow the 25mm or the 15mm road |

Duc de Limbourg, Follow the 28mm road for the Wars of the French Revolution. The new Austrian cavalry is stunning as is the Austria artillery. There will be quite a large release at Historicon this year(July)of Suvarov's Russians. The plans for this range are really exciting and Alan Marsh's sculpting just gets better and better. rob eureka miniatures usa |

Rob, although I amstill in doubt, your napoleonic ranges are very tempting. My main interest is the early 1792-1795 period in northern France and low countries. But if you indeed are bringing out Russians I may be could change my mind. Are there any british in the pipeline, they would be perfect for the 1799 landings in Holland. greetings jean, duc de limbourg ca-ira.blogspot.com |

oh, and I did forget to mention the Dutch, Hesse-Kassel and Hesse-Darmstadt, Bavarians, Hanoverian (although these could be made from British and various Frnch light infantry. greetings jean, duc de limbourg ca-ira.blogspot.com |
