Nice, neat painting and basing. I would paint the Union jackets darker myself. |

I would paint the Union jackets darker myself. Note that it is an 1861 army. The lighter jackets are not necessarily wrong. However, at least some units should be in union blue or other colors. Other than that, nice job. |

The lighter blue might be excused as a form of milita blue gray that some may have worn for a short while. Otherwise the jackets should be much darker for most and later units! Keep up the good effort and good luck! |

Well, the jackets are actually a fairly dark blue but the light blue pants didn't come out light blue enough. So, really its a matter of my own problems perceiving color, my poor camera work, and my light blue not being light enough. |

So, really its a matter of my own problems perceiving color, my poor camera work, and my light blue not being light enough. Understand, kearsey blue is a fairly medium to medium light blue gray. The jacket should be a very dark blue (think GW Regal Blue or even Midnight Blue) for 1862+ militia and any US regulars. |

Shame you weren't able to make room for one of the crouching figures drinking from a mug ! :-) I haven't seen the Imex figures up close – I'd "finished" my plastic ACW armies by the time they came out (I have several boxws of cavalry I still intend to paint up at some time – so "finished" is not really the correct term !). Nice figures. To be honest I'd be inclined to ignore the comments above – get the confederates finished and get some games in and see how much you like the way the rules play. Then, if you still want to, go back and do the repainting – or alternatively do some other options – zouves for example, or work up the armies for the later war lists. |

Then adjust uniforms to taste later. |
