Hi, I'm looking for a 15/18mm female figure that could be suitably used as a French noble in a diorama that I'm making. I'd specifically like it to look like Josephine, but I'd settle for any sort of fashion from the 1760s to the 1820s. I'm not anticipating my audience to be too up on the fashion of that time to realize such subtleties :) Also, if it's not too much to ask, I'd like to see some pictures of these figures before I buy them, if at all possible. Thanks in advance, all. |

I got those, but I didn't fancy my "ladies" wielding: a) a hatchet b) a dagger not quite "ladylike"
as for the third figure, well we'll suppose being a noble is her profession. Pirate range is pirate range
For ladies on the battlefiled this is the sort of thing I had in mind link |

I've been told that the Master, Tony Barton sculpted just want you want. I'm told sets were produced and were given to friends. Nic at Eureka might be able to confirm this and may even be able to have them produced again. I'd love to add them to my collection. I'm not sure if there's anything in Minifigs 15mm Old West civilians that could be adapted? |

fff2008: very pleasant picture of the Lace Wars as we love to *dream* them – thanks! Many other on the site, but uneasy to navigate link : the arrow on the left is almost invisible – almost easier to cchange "/pge18m1.htm" to "/pge18m2.htm" &c
Far more choice in 25-30mm (dodges for cover). |

Yes, I was expressing my frustration that in 15mm scale there is VERY little in matter of civilians. Nothing like the "vignettes" in larger scales. The Blue Moon might have an item or two, however. I might give them a try (besides the fashion seems more appropriate). |

The new Blue Moon sets are indeed very nice and appropriate for what you are looking for. I just received the Pirate Captain's set and the Civilians set. The Pirate Captain's set includes several figures that will be used in my Late 17th and Early 18th Century command vignettes. link The Civilian set not only includes 6 excellent and appropriate female figures, one of them a "High Lady", but a small boy, several worthy Gentlemen, and a great table with chairs and a sitting admin type. The table top is covered with excellent detail including a large map, several documents, and a place setting. link I'll be combining some of these with my Essex closed coach and my Preiser open carriage for command vignettes and probably using the table and a few figures with one of my Baueda Command tents. These are slightly larger 18's, but they do mix reasonably well with Minifigs, Old Glory, Black Hat, Lancashire, Donnington and most of the newer ranges. They would, however, be very large compared to Peter Pig or Hallmark. Bill Sir William the Aged warsoflouisxiv.blogspot.com |

fff2008: I agree. That's more what I'm looking for
but ideally, it would look like this: link Colbert (and others): Is there any possible way for me to get my hands on some of these Tony Barton figs? I'd be willing to pay--within reason, of course :)

abdul666lw: Honestly, I'd be willing to take a look at the 25-30mm figures. Where should I look? |
