On the cover of the recent Prince Rupert themed Wargames Illustrated issue, the guy on the left has something hanging off his wrist. It almost looks like a mini cannon barrel.

Any idea what it is?

Haven't got the cover infront of me but it might be a key for a wheel lock pistol.

Compare with the item on page 10 of Osprey's Elite 27 ECW cavalry. It certainly looks likes like a close relative – a kind of ECW pistoleer's Leatherman!
