10th Marines – First – yes he said that the horse artillery will travel faster over long distances. 2nd – people are people, and IMO the simlarity there is more impoertant than the differences between re-enactors and "real" soldiers of the time, which are probably in favour of the re-enactors in this instance (better food, better education, bigger, stronger, less stress) |

Not as well-trained, or as well-led by qualified artillery officers, either school-trained or experience, equipment made in the arsenals, combat experience, esprit de corps

Plus, horse artillery would travel more quickly over short distances-that is also a function of training and experience. You could also deploy them (horse and foot artillery) together in the same operation or large battery, such as Senarmont at Friedland and Drouot at Lutzen. Sincerely, K |
