Hi,
I have read in other topics about Star Wars Full Thrust and downloaded all the files. I have not tried the rules yet but they look great!
All the ships I have seen so far are from the Rebels vs Empire time. Has something beeen done from the Clone Wars setting?
I have seen the photos of the SSD with the holes and the pegs. They look very good and functional. Could you please give me some hints on how to do them (materials for pegs and boards, how to do the holes, etc..). Thanks in advance for any help,
Gianpaolo

If you mean these?

Then I can help.

The peg boards are made from 3/16" "hardboard" or MDF board. The SSDs are printed on cardstock then glued to the board using Modge Podge (puzzle saver). They are also coated with Modge Podge.

The holes are then drilled on a drill press, and the pegs are cut from Plastructs. (it is a silly amount of work, but once done we use it over and over)

No we never did Clone Wars. My Son wanted too, but I am old school…

Do you have PowerPoint? If so you can easily modify the PowerPoint SSDs to make your own Clone Wars versions. Some people have already downloaded and modified them to their liking….If you need the file let me know.

My only request is that you share your ideas and post pictures if you run any games :)

Thanks for your answer.
Yes it is a huge amount of work. I will start with something easier. I was thinking about foamcore and pins.
I am old school too but my son is more interested in clone wars (TV serie, you know…).
I already downloaded your PowerPoint file (I found the link in another post) and will try to modify it for clone wars. I will share any result with you but… it will take time.

my "website" is really just a list of files and pictures.

Here is the main index:
webpages.charter.net/dervel

It gets changed from time to time, when I run out of space.

Foam core or cork board might work (I tried foam core for another project, but I was not happey with the results)

You might try laminated SSDs with dry-erase or grease pencils? That would also work, and be more sensible.

With the laminated ones you can even use a paper clip on the side to show speed.

Any questions, I am happy to answer.

It really was a great father/son project. Now we run the game together at conventions. My son has learned how to be a pretty decent GM running this both with me and on his own.

I did a few SSDs for clone wars ships a couple of years ago. I have just uploaded them to my blog.

You should be able to replace some of the weapons with fighter bays to get a better fit with the movies.

That is how we play ours, and it does work quite well.
Not laminated, but just printed and placed in a sheet protector. Works the same.

However, you can't beat the board and peg thing you have there for Coolness. If you have the time (and you aren't going to change the ships), then that is the neatest way.

Question for Dervel -- I have the Star Wars Full Thrust rules you posted -- but I don't see any type of point values for the ships. Do these exist? Otherwise, how do you balance out a game? Thanks!!!!
