Hello,

This is my first ACW project in any scale. I have gamed ACW before, but never committed to any miniatures of my own. To start off, I decided to do a unit that was close to home. This is the 150th PA Volunteers Regiment (Bucktails).

These are all Old Glory miniatures and are based individually for skirmish gaming.

This is the first part of a pretty big project for me (for ACW anyway). I intend to do around a company per side, and casualties, command, some wagons, etc.

Nice work, especially for a first project

Nice painting style and very nice basing also! Don't know why Old Glory used Mexican war style canteens on some of their figs?

Very nice Keith. Would this project be for a set of Iron Ivan ACW rules? I hope so, your rules are the best skirmish rules around. Not to mention I have about a companies worth of both Union and Confederate in my closet waiting to be painted.

Regards, Bill

Thanks guys! Growing up half an hour away from Gettysburg when I was a kid, I am surprised I didn't get into gaming the ACW before this. WWII was my first love.

Not too long ago, when I was on my way up to Potter county here in Northern PA, I stopped and read a historical marker for the Bucktails, and ever since then, it rekindled that interest in ACW from when I was a kid.

It's a nice change from khaki, SS camo, and splinter…

I am considering doing a rules set for low level gaming the ACW at 1:1 based on This Very Ground, but it is only in the very earliest of conceptions right now (nothing on paper yet).

Wonderful Keith, all good rule sets start with just a thought. Just keep thinking… :O)
