I have a little green A5 rules booklet titled G-CAV from 1985 written by some bloke called Tuffley and published by GZG sitting around the place. No idea where I got it from. I haven't tried them, but they appeal because of their brevity. Has anyone ever played games with these rules? Any good? |

Pretty much superseded by Dirtside II and Stargrunt II. |

A blast from the past! Jon (Tuffey, Mr GZG, all praise him)produced about 200 copies way back when. Pre internet, few figures out – which is why it's rather Denizen/Traveller orientated. Still a good set of rules I pull out of the cupboard every now and again. I wrote (you know, snail mail, paper, envelope, stamps?)to Jon asking if any good with 6mm (as Irregular just started producing). Got a letter back saying "15mm is the true scale for SF", but can be converted. Someone was going to make it a free download, with the surge in 15mm SF. |

We use it for our company + sized 15mm demo games but with our 25th anniversary updates. In our view still can't be beat for speed of play for massed battles. Guy T Two Guys' Productions |

I still have my little green book. Never played but read a lot. I would like to see the updates that you have added Von Trinkenessen. |

Likewise, on the updates. Company level games is what I aiming at seeing as I have the collection to match now. Even though I've never played using them the rules read as if they would give a clean game and pretty much pack into them what these days seems to require a £15-30 full colour rule book of 100+ pages and probably a supplement. I also acquired much more recently off ebay some period GZG resin vehicle output. Probably not everyones cup of tea stylistically and pretty simple models, but still nice pieces. |

Sorry to necro another thread, but I'm trying to get hold of a copy of the G-Cav rules. Is there a kind soul willing to part with a copy here? |

Arrg, just realised I've lost my copy! Might still be able to help you out though. |

Art, you must have read the rules thread, same as I. ;->= Might fire a note off to Jon; he's been putting up most of his old rules. Not that I wouldn't pick up a copy of G-Cav it showed on eBay… Doug |

Would love to see it released as a PDF, or posted for free on the GZG site, since it seems to have a lot of positive feedback. |

Actually I'd like to see the resin vehicles from that period of GZG re-released, granted they're possibly a bit dated interms of design now, but given John's wide range of vehicle accessories I think they'd make a really good base for customisation using said accessories. (And I've got a couple of gaps in my collection I'd like to make good at some point) |

They're available now from another company – at least some of them. I forget the name they're produced under though, so you might inquire on one of the boards about them. |

Demonscape IIRC has GZGs old 25mm resin range and some 6mm stuff. Some of both ranges can be repurposed for 15mm. But the 15mm stuff I think is older still. |

ROUWetPatchBehindTheSofa is correct – the old resin 15mm stuff is not in production at all, not even with Daemonscape. haven't even seen it on eBay, that';s how rare it is . . . :( |
