I wonder if these could be made to look as though they were part of a ship's hull: link Dan |

Plastic bottles have a nice curved hull feel to them. Add a few strips and dots and blobs and you have a hull plate. |

If I cut these echo toy microphones like rings, could the sections pass for spaceship parts:

Half a water bottle and some printed textures taken from the web worked for me when I was over in Iraq. |

If I cut these echo toy microphones like rings, could the sections pass for spaceship parts: I'd buy that for a dollar!

Here's a thought, Who said it has to crash on dry land or a desert? a swap or marsh could be cool too, or a jungle, maybe a plateau or a sea shore. |

In my SF frontier town I will also incorporate several buildings I have bought over the years: TMP link Of course, I will also add several scratch-built ones to the mix. But I guess we can never have too many options for buildings, right? TMP link Dan |

I think I'll have tp keep my eye out for that at a garage sales or thrift shop. Just a little too much money to be hacking it all up, but a great idea Thanks. |

Dan, check out a book called "Kolonie The Forgotten Empire" by Christian Schellewald & Patrick Hanenberger, printed by Design Studio Press. It's got quite a few techno shanty towns, re-claimed structures, abandoned industrial structures, and a village with a spaceship wreck being scavenged. A great source for lots of ideas, and the setting is interesting. link |

LOL Hey, has anyone found a clear image or screenshot of the wrecked spaceship that shows up at the beginning of the film Serenity, just as the teacher is describing how the Unification war came about? Thanks, Dan |

I FINALLY FOUND IT!!!!!! See! Every wrecked spaceship should have a few containers salvaged from the cargo holds, don't you think?
