Ok so before I go and purchase some old glory fig's I wanted to know how compatible they were with the Warlord? I have some warlord infantry and am just tired of putting the things together so figured I would switch to metals. Being on a budget though I think OG would be my best bet. I recall seeing a blog with side by side pitcures of the two but for the life of me can't find it again. Thanks for your help ahead of time. |

The OG are a bit shorter and stockier than Warlord. But it's not a huge difference and unless you mix them in the same unit you're unlikely to notice it. By way of example, they're much closer in size and heft then say Renegade or Redoubt. |

Here's a link to a side by side I did on my blog
the BLUE REGIMENT is Warlord, the YELLOW REGIMENT is OG. link Here's my blog article about them. link Agreed
I won't purchase any more Warlord ECW. Plastics just are not for my collection. I painted infantry, cavalry and artillery plus Essex. They're rather run of the mill and vanilla in comparison to OG. My 1/2 centavo's worth only because I've done it, been there, have the figures and I'm sticking to it! Steve Miller DFW Irregulars |

Steve, I have to agree about the compatibility, but I don't really find the Warlord plastics to be run of the mill myself. I have OG, Warlord and Perry and find they mix well. There are a few areas where I'd rather see more detail on the Warlord minis, but overall I'm very pleased with mine. I have found their boxed sets to be very convenient for army building as I do, one unit at a time. I didn't have to buy separate bags of pike, shotte, and command in various poses before even putting a unit together. I'm also a big fan of how easily customized the Warlord plastics are, in addition to being extremely easy to prep for painting. I've got the OG card and I have been picking stuff up here and there, but since I wasn't buying a whole army in one shot, Warlord was far more convenient for similar quality. |

maciraq.blogspot.com Since I've started ECW this year, I've a few posts about it so far. I have a few OG highlanders that I've co-op'd to take the field with my covenanters. They seem to fit well together. Photos and details on my blog. |
