I was a bit surprised to find Black Powder touting the Jacobite Rebellion but not including any army lists or scenarios for the period! (Several years ago, JR was the first miniatures wargame I played. The umpire used Warfare in the Age of Reason.) Does WF have plans to put new army lists and scenarios on their website or publish additional supplements? Anyone else have BP articles or lists on their websites? I hope gamers and WF continue to support these rules at least online. |

Probably best asking these questions on the Warlord games BP Forum. link Graham |

A great set of rules!! I think its perfectly logical to now start releasing army lists and scenarios for the various conflicts covered in the rules. Lets remember how much we enjoy new releases from Warhammer Historicals (hopefully that pleasure will return shortly). Well done Warlord – you are doing a fine job at keeping us entertained. |

Firstly, the BP rules cover a 200 year period, if memory serves this period featured somewhere in the region of 1500 wars, Im personally not surprised that the book doesnt include all possible lists
. Secondly, all the lists are the same anyway! All infantry has the same basic profile, ditto for cavalry, ditto for artillery, you simply adjust certain stats up or down depending on whether the unit is large or small, veteran or raw. This is done by Gentlemens Agreement. If certain units had a certain characteristic not covered by the basic profile (like the highland charge) you simply add one of the special rules to portray it. Theres several that fit the bill. I love BP becouse of this simplicity: specialised "official" lists for every possible match up are not required, just bring yer book, and yer toy soldiers! |
