Error! WARMACHINE is not scifi. Unless Prime is significantly different from the earlier incarnation. I'll cast a semi-vote (count as half a vote (-;)) for the Infinity supplement Human Sphere. Haven't been "around" much tover the last year, I must say, so my knowledge of the new and shiny rulesets etc. is seriously lacking. |

I thought Warmachine was the SciFi version of 'Hordes' which is their fantasy set? Looks pretty sci-fi with some fantasy and steam-punk elements – is steam punk sci-fi? [Science Fiction] – I would kinda think so. Though am open to correction. |

Steampunk is arguably scifi, but Warmachine is fantasy with some steampunk trappings. The jacks are commanded by spellcasters, and their brains are crafted by magical rituals. Even their "gunpowder" is an alchemical item made by organizations of wizards. Hordes is the same setting, just different factions that use organic critters as heavyweights rather than the steam-powered jacks the "civilized" kingdoms employ. |

Steampunk is arguably scifi "Arguably" being rather a key word there (-;) Warmachine is fantasy with some steampunk trappings. The jacks are commanded by spellcasters, and their brains are crafted by magical rituals. Even their "gunpowder" is an alchemical item made by organizations of wizards Indeed. WARMACHINE is industrial fantasy and no more science fiction than, say, China Miéville's New Crobuzon books. |
