Historical:
Best new figure or new line.

Scott MacPhee04 Feb 2010 7:43 p.m. PST

The 2009 figures I've been most impressed by:

Crusader Miniatures' Ancient Germans (28mm)
HaT Industries' Napoleonic Bavarian infantry (28mm)
Gripping Beasts' Successors

Pictors Studio04 Feb 2010 7:43 p.m. PST

I'm going to vote for the Perry miniature plastic War of the Roses figs.

Goldwyrm04 Feb 2010 8:27 p.m. PST

Victory Force's 032504 SB Old Goat on scooter.

Why historical? I'm assuming he's a WWII veteran with a carbine.

Gallowglass04 Feb 2010 8:30 p.m. PST

Eureka Miniatures' 28mm Austrian infantry for the French Revolutionary Wars.

Empress Miniatures 28mm Zulu Wars – colonial mounted troops.

Perry Miniatures 28mm Carlist Wars – British Auxiliary Legion lancers.

Gripping Beast/ Woodbine Design Company "Chaps on the Hunt"

Bill Peterson04 Feb 2010 8:34 p.m. PST

Perry Miniatures French Cavalry

Wargames Factory Vikings

Wargames Factory Zulus

Gorgon Character Figures

John the OFM04 Feb 2010 8:38 p.m. PST

Eureka Miniature's 18th C vignettes, including Fritz debating Voltaire, and playing the flute. CPE Bach on the harpsichord and string quartet.
These should all together be considered a "line", so as to not dilute their votes.

Pierce Inverarity04 Feb 2010 9:02 p.m. PST

15mm Arabs from Khurasan.

bloodeagle04 Feb 2010 9:21 p.m. PST

I second Wargames Factory Vikings
Not the best looking but surely the most usfull for thier period.

mweaver04 Feb 2010 9:51 p.m. PST

The Perry War of the Roses plastic figures were the first thing I thought of – love multi-part plastic figures – but they have already been nominated. I will also nominate Artizan's new landsknechts

Cyrus the Great04 Feb 2010 10:37 p.m. PST

Gorgon Studios Early Etruscans.

Son of Liberty05 Feb 2010 12:24 a.m. PST

Here's another vote for the Perrys' Wars of the Roses plastic figures. I've assembled about half of the figures in one box and I haven't run into any problems with them thus far. They're really well designed, the parts fit incredibly well, and the detail is wonderful. I'm actually enthusiastic about putting the rest of the figures together and I'm probably going to get another box or two.

Boot Hill Miniatures – Mexico in 1830/40s.

basileus6605 Feb 2010 3:51 a.m. PST

Minden Miniatures – SYW Hannoverian infantry. Probably the most exquisite miniature range I've ever seen!

Red Star – Modern Russians.

Gorgon Studios – Etruscans.

Palafox05 Feb 2010 3:52 a.m. PST

E-bob Falklands Yomper, a beauty on 28mm.

ZeroTwentythree05 Feb 2010 6:38 a.m. PST

I think they may straddle the line between 2009 & 2010, but I like Artizan's landsknechts.

JRacel05 Feb 2010 6:46 a.m. PST

kyoteblue – Rebel Miniatures 15mm Moderns

Agreed.

Empress Miniatures British Colonial Line

Mick in Switzerland05 Feb 2010 7:11 a.m. PST

Some very good suggestions there. I would add my appreciation of Gorgon Etruscans, Perry WOTR, WF Vikings and Artizan Landsknechkts.

I am surprised that Cuusader Oscans are not yet nominated.

I would actually nominate WF Celt Chariots as they are the first chariots that are easy to put together.

Nice, but these were released in 2010, not 2009.

Another vote for these! (Have to, since I started the 100 club way back when!! laugh)

Perry's WOTR were released 2010, otherwise I'd throw them into the list.

Artrizan Landsknechts should be on the list as well.
