I have been thinking of doing a Sci-Fi project sometime in the next few months. I would like to do Pig Iron figures against invading Prawns from District 9 so does anyone know who makes them; the Aliens not Pig Iron. Or I might do Hammer's Slammers in 25mm from GZG so would anyone know of Alien figures to match up with them.

I don't believe anyone does them in a scale larger than 15mm.

It would be very nice to see them in 25mm from GZG, as well.

Spugs are probably the best fill in, in the interim.

I remember that someone does or is planning to do some resin "Cthulhu-esque" alien heads. Put them on Kroots , give them Tau weaponry (or anything that looks similar to Prawn weapons), and voilą!

I know they posted info on Frothers:

And don't forget the scenery:

They are some cool alien heads

Kroot are no use; they look nothing like Prawns. Try Dragyiri Slaves from Dark Age ( link ) with headswaps.

I agree – SPUGs, even though they're not a very close visual mix, are a close "spiritual" mix, having a powered armor and weapons that match up pretty well.

Kroot have the height factor. And, if you put the right head on them, they look pretty insect-like:

The key is finding the right heads!!!

Just e-mail Jon, and ask him nicely to do some "Jumbo Prawns".

CC, those Dark Age minis are pretty tall – taller than Kroot, I think (for scaling purposes, they're on 30mm bases). My main issue with the Kroot is that they're too smooth.

Closest figure I've seen is the Verpine Tech figure from the Star Wars minis game. It's a slim, delicate figure though, so conversions would be a little tricky. Too short as well. Reposition the arms and give them some GW Tau weapons?
