From webdesignerdepot.com

"In this post we feature sculptors Ron Mueck, Evan Penny, Jamie Salmon, Duane Hanson, Sam Jinks and Adam Beane who produce sculpture that seems alive in every detail, right down to veins and rashes on skin. This compilation should give you a cross section of modern photorealistic sculpture."

Un-be-lie-va-ble. The detail is really disturbing. It is exactly like life but it is not alive. I really respect the artist's talent but those are just too real for me. Wow.

Impressive…

That's unreal. Real.

Absolutely incredible, what an amazing talent.

I could of sworn I've seen that old couple walking down the streets of Brooklyn.

I've seen the work of Mueck and Hanson at museum shows. The scale of Mueck's work is mind blowing. Hanson is more playful, at one of his shows, several members of the public touring the gallery are inevitably Hanson sculptures, and more than a few people are surprised to discover they've been talking to inanimate objects.

Disturbing.

Duane Hanson's cleaning lady is my favourite I think.

They're all amazing. I love them.

I want one Scarlett Johansson 1:1 scale model. How can I make an order?

Ummm… that's scary good. Really.

Luckily all of the works behind the link were SFW (-;)

Photorealistic sculpture is indeed both captivating and creepy. I see that Adam Beane works in what is close to miniature gaming scale…
