Gents,

Looking at doing a refight of Grant's action at Belmont.

I have two scenario sources. One indicates the Union troops are armed with Rifled Muskets, the other shows Smoothbore Muskets.

Does anyone have any specific details as to the correct weapon types used?

Regards

a quick google foo says "yes" to both.

If you go to link

you will find that the 7th Iowa was armed with both the Springfield rifle and the Springfield modified musket. I would assume at this point of the war most regiments from that area would have been outfitted from the Jefferson Barraks armory and would take whatever was available.

Thanks for the link.

There's a lot of useful info in there so I'll dig a bit.

Cheers
