I recently purchased a large lot of unpainted 40mm AWI figures from someone on Ebay. Included were Continental dragoons and mounted generals. I noticed while going through them, there are only TWO different horse poses! Standing and kind of running. Also, they ALL seem to be officer horse with no blanket rolls, just a set of pistol holsters. Did this guy use up any other poses,or, is this it?

My next issue is,I also bought direct from S&S, a set of Brit lights skirmishing with command, and also Hessian Jagers with command. I just noticed, the bodies of the respective hornists, are the same! They both use the British body! Is this an error, or don't they make a specific Jager musician body?
Also,I noticed the Continental artillery crews have buttonhole lace on their coats. This would prevent me from using them in anything earlier than 1780 when the new uniform regs came out that included lace on the facings.

Awesome figures aside from these minor issues.

Bob,

The Continental Dragoon pack contains 3 different horses (all in motion) with blanket rolls. There are 4 different mounted general horses (two in the Continental pack and two in the British general pack). It sounds like the Ebay seller repackaged the packs and retained all of the Dragoon horses.

The Hessian Jaeger command must have been mispackaged -- there is indeed an actual Hessian hornist. I'm sorry about the mistake. Send me an email with your address and we'll send you the proper body.

Chris

Maybe the hornist is a slow Hessian?

Not that it will likely do any good really , but I would email the seller and let him know that you know that he was not quite altogether on the up and up with his offering! If it was a mistake, maybe, he will correct it for you, not likely , but maybe!!

I noticed that Dave Bonk has what looks like Sash&Sabre 40mm dismounted 16th light dragoons in some recent images of his game at Fall In, are these available?

I had this done to me by an eBay seller once – bought a Perry Queen's Rangers hussars command pack only to find that the three horsemen included two trumpeters (one more than the unit had in real life). This was carefully hidden by photographing them in their pack (one of those little black jeweller's boxes), with the horses covering up the riders so that you could see they were there, but not who they were.

The seller gave me the old "sold as seen" garbage.
