Has anyone bought direct from NAVWAR and had it shipped to the US? What has the experience been compared to buying it from one of Noble Miniatures retailers?

Navwar's overseas postage charges (which have been the subject of some discussion on here) might put you off

That is true, but I found that the savings on each model I bought over what was being charged in the US more than made up for the shipping costs.

The process is archaic but they do a good job in a 1980's snail mail way. Personally, I buy through Scale Creep and let Mark deal with the quirks.

Best option is to have them sent to someone in the UK and get them to forward them to you. Still works out cheaper than the inflated Navwar shipping costs.

The shipping prices might seem to be high, but when i bought aircraft from them in Jan. of this year,i saved over 100 dollars from the price The Last Square is asking for just the miniatures, not adding in their shipping coast. And they were here in less the two weeks,i've waited longer for some companies in the US,with shopping carts to even get around to shipping them out of their door.I recommend buying direct from NAVWAR.

I have ordered direct from Navwar – excellent service, pressed the fax button on Monday and received the package on the following Saturday (I'm in Seattle).

I have also ordered from The Last Square and received excellent and fast service.

I would carefully compare prices (including postage and exchange rates) and then order from the one that suits you.

Works fine to Canada.

As long as you can get them to respond to your order. I placed an order with them, they responded they received it, and it was never shipped. At least they did not charge my credit card, …but it was frustrating dealing with an organization that "may not want" your business.

Made the more expensive order with the Last Square and received everything I needed very quickly, …though I did not order the extra stuff I wanted to order directly from the UK because of the increased cost.

It comes down to what you want to spend, …and trusting sending your credit card via fax to a guy that won't respond to queries and is only open for phone calls on Saturday, …for very limited hours with a 6 or more hour time difference.

I agree. I have switched to Baccus figs.

Thanks,
