I need some HMG's to mount on my Back of Beyond American archaeologist expedition vehicles. I've got a couple of Copplestone maxims left over from an army project that I can use, and a few 1/48th Lewis guns for back up, but what I'd really like are a few tripod mounted Hotchkiss MG's to put in the back of my Lledo diecast trucks. If possible they should have crew figures that I could convert, without too much trouble, into montana hat wearing, civilian clothed adventurers. I've had a look through the Redoubt Boxer Rebellion range, Renegade early war French, Scarab French and Empress SCW, and there are some possible figures there. Any other suggestions? Cheers Jim |

Anglian, now Empress, makes a Hotchkiss 1904 model. Very finely made. The Redoubt (March Or Die range)actually looks mores like a Puteaux, and is a bit larger. The Colt in the Boxer range is superb! Haven't seen the Scarab gun as of yet, and don't like the Renegade offering much( absurdly over-sized, it looks more like an AT rifle on steroids) The St Etienne from Great War Miniatures is again very, very good. |

How about the Spanish MG team from Rif Raf? The hats shouldn't be too hard to convert to Montanas picture |

Battle Honors also makes a 25mm WWI line that you might want to look at. |

Outpost minis have a Hotchkiss crew in sombreroes as well as a crew in a cap in their Mexican Revolution range |
