Saw the ads for the new Firestorm Armada ships. IIRC they are very large, up to nearly 8" in length. Has anyone compared them to ships from GZG, Brigade, Babylon 5, ect? Would you mix any Firestorm Armada in with these? |

At 8" those ships are pretty big, only the largest GZG or B5 ships are that big. The Starfleet Battles Heavy Cruiser is only 3" long. If you are intrested in playing some Starship combat games
. I have Starmada, Full Thrust, Slag, Federtion commander, Klingon Armada, Starfleet Battles 1st edtion, Silent Death, ASFOS, and a couple more. Let me know if you are intrested. |

The size of the ships has put me off getting it (as it also put me off Uncharted Seas). The game rules are ok, but the size of the ships and the similarities between different types really put me off. I don't think they would fit in with GZG, Brigade or Babylon 5 ships, but YMMV. :) I much prefer the smaller scales for space and sea ships. Cheers, Ben. |

"The size of the ships has put me off getting it" The prices will probably put a lot of people off too. |

The photos on the warstore website list ship lengths in cm (approximate?) link The largest seems to be 6.7in and the smallest 1.8in I kinda like the style of the aquan ships, they look like the love-children of a mon calamari and a legend of galactic heroes ship (In a good way) but the fact that they're resin and the glut of cheaper fleets available (bergstrom, gzg, kallistra. . . etc) makes it unlikely that I'll pick them up. |

"The prices will probably put a lot of people off too." The prices quoted here: PDF link are in GBP rather than USD and seem far more reasonable than those given in the TMP news item. |

I will probably pick up some of the smaller ships to mingle with the existing fleets, but the 6" long flagships are probably too big to mix well unless I'm already using those two monsters WotC put out for its otherwise horrid Star Wars ship game. With two 6" long capital ships, why not more? |
