I like your photographs. The paper miniatures look surprisingly good -- nice scale/sizing to the ship models. I also like your article on torsion artillery. E.H.

ty for compliments Eric. I will do some more on how to knock out the paper crew soon. Its not recommended to sneeze when playing with them but otherwise they do the job! If I get bored I can go and make some new ones courtesy of the great work done at Junior General. I like the idea of as much as possible being paper or card. I am in the process of building a port/city it is so satisfying to be able to build the whole wargaming world one's self. I will also do more on customising your ships. Does anyone else do this ? More generally : could anyone tell me what the heroics and ros greek catapult set includes ? Baccus seem only to make Roman bolt-throwers. I make mine from matchsticks so far but would like to compare. |

The Baccus ballista/bolt thrower is a scorpion (small bolt thrower). They are working on a medium size bolt thrower, but with no release date planned. I only know what the Roman catapult sets look like from H&R, which are very nice. Scratch making bolt-throwers is very easy and once made. no one will really know if they are custom made or purchased. My medium bolt-throwers are mostly scratch made, although I do have a few rare H&R medium ballista in the mix. E.H. |
