I notice on the BF website that they are now selling 'Gothic' tank traps and ruined columns. These look 28mm. In fact, they look like the old Armorcast stuff. Can anyone confirm/deny that these are re-casts of Armorcast? Also, does anyone know why BF would start offering terrain that is both too big for 15mm and almost totally un-related to WW2? |

Probably because they have been talking about doing a number of projects more or less unrelated to FoW, to be sold under the Wargames Illustrated banner. The Vietnam stuff is the first of that. It could be that the 28mm scenery is yet another in that vein. And re-casts? Must EVERYTHING come down to some sort of illegal/unethical implication nowadays? Sheesh! |

I own a TON of Gothic buildings from Armorcast and none look like this. Unless your saying that AC has a copyright on 3 story Gothic ruined 28mm buildings

"And re-casts? Must EVERYTHING come down to some sort of illegal/unethical implication nowadays? Sheesh!" I never meant to imply they were doing anything illegal. I just wanted to know if they'd bought the rights. It reminds me of the old AC stuff, so I asked. No accusations, nothing. Take a pill. |

I'm assuming that the gothic ruins are things that BF's subsidiary, Gale Force Nine is producing. They do make non-FoW stuff. |

Scott's explanation is what was related to me. One of the recent acquisitions, but still producing the original product line. I guess it makes sense to show them on their website, though they may want to differentiate between FoW and non-FoW (28mm) stuff like this. - Bob |

The tall building bits are, in many cases, pretty scale-less, but may not be all that useful for WWII

Thanks, I'd totally forgot that BF owned GF9
Now the gothic terrian stuff makes sense, though I didn't see a scale listed when I saw them on the weekly FOW e-mail from BF. |

They say "Good for all scales"on their web site-- I can't say I would agree with that, but buyer beware and all. |
