Does anyone know who makes the figures on the front cover of the latest Miniature Wargames mag. Are they 20mm or 28mm?

28's

They're from Honourable Lead Boilersuit and are 1/48th – approx. 36mm or so.
Very nice range they have too.

Would they fit with Devil Dog design figures?

JCFigures19 Nov 2009 4:32 p.m. PST

Nope they are much bigger than DDD figures. I have a lot of them (HLBS) though and like them a lot. Granted they don't quite fit 1/48 scale model kits either. Obviously, they do fit well with HLBS vehicles though.

Hey JC how are you? When will I be able to get my hands on your new figures and any new pictures?

JCFigures19 Nov 2009 6:15 p.m. PST

Plan was to start selling figures about now, but unfortunately Jim went under the knife again earlier this month and subsequently got an infection. He has been and will be down and out for a while. It may be X-Mas before we start selling any new JC Figures. I am hoping to get Marines off to him in the next couple of weeks too. They are turning out pretty nice. Been kinda busy with grad school and I went back into the Marine Reserves. I have a PFT in January in Quantico!!! Oh the joy of running three miles in sub 30 degree weather. My luck it will be snowing.

As for pictures I'm a slug…I have new stuff. I just need to take the time to go take pictures.

Hope all is well there.

I am retiring next year it will be 23 years for me. I'm not too thrilled with the new CFT on top of the pft it's kicking my ass.

JC where are you located? I'm at MCCDC reading pubs and working concepts… I get my foot cut in Dec.

JCFigures20 Nov 2009 8:43 a.m. PST

Yep, I haven't had the pleasure of running the CFT yet. I went to the Ball last weekend from my old unit. They ran it that morning. Great way to start the day! Congrats on retiring. I usually run the PFT around 270 but my body has just started to fall apart. I'd be happy with anything over 225 at this point.

Rhino…
I'm in Little Rock Arkansas. I was with India Co, 3/23 now I am with the Wounded Warrior Reg, as the Marine for Life Rep. Just going to Grad School and taking care of our third child who is 12 weeks old.

Whats up with your foot?

Rhino Co20 Nov 2009 9:20 a.m. PST

I've got Capsulitis in the joint on my long toe. Over use, I was told, in Eastern Afghanistan. I'm at Quantico after four years (2 of which I was actually on Oki: Baghdad and Kapisa Province plus exercises in Korea and Mainland Japan) on Okinawa.

JCFigures20 Nov 2009 9:53 a.m. PST

Fun…just cut it off you got four more on there! Seriously, hope the surgery goes well. I have horror stories about the Navy cutting on my shoulder.

Rhino Co20 Nov 2009 10:40 a.m. PST

The guy who replaced my ACL did a good job. He was also getting out to be a civilian Ortho Surgen. This doc knew exactly what was what when he grabbed my toe…

Irish Marine20 Nov 2009 11:19 a.m. PST

Same here execpt I've got a plate in my neck, two shoulder operations and two disks in my lower back getting ready to go and I still have to go to Norway in Feb.

Rhino Co20 Nov 2009 12:07 p.m. PST

I may be sitting on a Courts Martial. Top that for fun…

JCFigures20 Nov 2009 12:59 p.m. PST

We all must be happy Marines with all the bitchin' we're doing.

Rhino Co20 Nov 2009 1:06 p.m. PST
