For the first time, I've had an error from Amazon.com – they sent me two copies of Blood and Glory (the new FoG book), and claim I pre-ordered them on Oct 1st and Oct 18th respectively.

However, their own website shows that my Oct. 1st order was a pre-order for a different book (which I received a month ago).

On their website, there's the usual option for "return a book", but I wanted to speak to someone to explain the nature of their error. Turns out they have this option (new, at least to me) for "Call Me" – you go on their website, type in your phone number, and then the website calls you and connects you to customer service. They claim this connects you quicker than a regular phone call, and the customer service rep already has your order information on hand. You still get put on hold, though, until someone is available.

At any rate, they resolved the problem, are emailing me a return document, and I can drop this surplus book at the nearest UPS drop.

Good to know. Thanks.

I've used it twice. AMAZON called me back PRONTO both times. And the folks who called back seemed to have WAY more power to resolve the issues. Way more than the nice Indian guys who staff the customer service live email line, who had been driving me CRAZY.
