Hello all,

What ruleset can be used for 6mm figures? I have aquired some and began painting them and I want to find a ruleset to try them out.

I'm working on some rules but they won't be finished for some time, base for small scale AWI battles with many figures.

Or Carnage and Glory 2 a computer moderated game, that is made for AWI AND 7yw, and can use all scales from 6mm to 54mm

Volley and Bayonet works well with 6mm figures either in full or reduced scale.

Since rules are "scale agnostic", any rules can be used with 6mm figures (except perhaps skirmish rules). Just fill the bases with 6mm figures instead of <whatever scale the rules tell you to use>.

There are a plethora of good game systems for the AWI, some of them free. Any of them could be used in 6mm. If you had some specific ideas of how you want your games to perform and at what level, then you would get more specific recommendations. For instance, I could rattle off five rules sets I would happily play, all with different foci.

Mike hits the nail on the head!! Have a good look at Volley and Bayonet, ideal for large scale battles.

There is my favorite, Field of Battle.

Thanks,

John

I did 6mm AWI using Field of Battle.

I believe I just halved the movement rates and weapon ranges.

Everything else works just fine…
