TMP link Pardonnez-moi, Monsieur le'Editeur, but le Capitaine Danjou est un innocent veritable en cette "thread". Why single him out? |

I agree Allen. When I saw the original bleeped text I mentally supplied much more colorful language. When I saw what he actually said it produced a real "huh?" moment. |

Is this a Zola moment? Should I dash off a quick note to L'Aurore? |

Now is a golden opportunity to set a TMP record for DHing the most people from a single thread. I believe the record is 5, and is well within reach for this one. Zut! Alors! YouTube link |

That la Legion Etrangere has a song called 'here comes the sausage' has always bothered me slightly. Those long lonely nights in the desert, with only a camel for company

That's why they were La Legion Foreigne, The Strange Legion. |

Ahh, that's because technically you are supposed to ride the camel back to town and not, ahem, "ride" the camel in the desert. Sorry, old FFL joke. I'll get me coat.

It's peculiar how some topics on the convention board resemble an homage to Lord of the Flies. |

What *IS* it about this organisation that causes all this bitterness? I mean, how big is it? Because the only other organisation I know with this amount of arguing contained in it is the European Union. Is it worth billions of dollars or something? |

Katie, it's run by and for a bunch of nerdy blokes with an over-inflated sense of their own importance. What more do you need to know? |

it's run by and for a bunch of nerdy blokes with an over-inflated sense of their own importance. And at one point a $250,000 budget. Tailor made for drama. |

As PJ O'Rourke observed, "Giving money and power to the government is like giving whisky and car keys to teenage boys." I expect to use that quote a lot in the near future, starting Monday. |

Never been around the SCA? -Kle. The SCA does several things better in an outright comparison. I wouldn't have met my wife at a historical wargame convention. |
