I can't make my mind up if IOT works because of or in spite of Melvyn's irascible old codger routine, but work it does. It's one of the best programmes on t'wireless

Listened to this in the bath this morning. Had no idea it was on, and I ended up lying in cold water by the time it finished. If thats not an endorsement then I dont know what is!

Also it got me thinking 'thank feck' for the BBC. You wouldnt get a show like this on at 9.30am on commercial radio would you?

Its not one of the best…
It is the best.
I've got loads of the podcasts that I listen to while walking the dog. Those who haven't heard it I'd cheerfully recommend listening again from the BBC website archive where there are loads of really interesting and entertaining discussions available.
'course our colonial cousins may not be able to access them, but hey, theres got to be some upside to living in the most heavily surveilled society on the planet.

No problem getting access from Canada; I've been listening for years.

This a great podcast, I discovered it last year via iTunes. Great variety in the subjects though the historical ones are my favorites.

BBC4 TV and Radio is the only decent thing the government of the UK does wellish.

I think the BBC would be dismayed to hear they are run by
the government. Than the the lord they ain't
