Finally – after a year (maybe a year and a half) of virtually no constructive painting, I've finished a few figures. The major project is this Dire Bear by Reaper:

I'm quite pleased with the detail I was able to achieve on his teeth and eyes.

I also finished the base and touched up a Ral Partha Terror Bird:

I bought the bird off Ebay, already painted by a friend of mine (Clarke Payne). The painting is 95% his work, all I did was the base and a small amount of highlighting.

But little things like that, just to 'finish' a figure (to make it match the rest of my prehistorics), made me feel like I'd accomplished something, and I wanted to show off CBP3's good work.

Next up – some more Wargods stuff and some Cavemen!

I liked the way you did the bear's nose and snout, where the fur is shorther than on the rest of his shaggy body.

Great Alex, when will we see some new releases?

Alxbates19 Nov 2009 10:31 a.m. PST

Forge of Ice new releases are on hold… I've got some greens ready to go, but until I get my family and home issues settled I'm not going to be able to commit to the next wave of figures (and bits).

So I'm painting stuff for fun, talking with artists, doing organizational things.

Trust me, I'll be posting all over the internet when I get the next batch of greens cast!

Nice bear, Alex!

It feels good to paint again after a long dry spell, doesn't it?

Those look really great, Alex. That bear is pretty awesome.
