Looking around at the various 15mm sci-fi ranges out there. DLD Productions has some nice stuff. But their website shows an update date of 2006. Has anybody done business with them recently? How did it go? As far as other 15mm companies. I've already seen GZG and Rebel Minis (both with some nice stuff!) What else is out there? -- I'm mainly interested in tanks and vehicles. Although cool infantry is always nice. . . but not the primary area of focus right now. Oh gunships are cool too! ;) |

I am sure someone will come along with more information, but I am fairly certain DLD is no longer in business. I have seen roomers that he still occasionally sells some products at cons, but nothing solid on that. Do not order from the website unless you can get him to respond to your email inquiry first. Awesome stuff, but it seems the realities of life caused him to have to close up shop, at least for a while. Make sure to also check out Critical Mass Games, Khurasan Miniatures and Old Crow Models. Critical Mass offers free international shipping on orders over 20 GBP (Pound Sterling). Old Crow casts to order and is from the UK, but the vehicles are great and it's worth the wait. Khurasan has just a few vehicles now in their SciFi line, but they are very nice and the line is growing. Jeff |

Yep he's gone. He has said he might start up again, but no word for awhile. |

David is pretty much on hiatus for an indefinite period. He hasn't gone out of business, but he's not producing anything at the moment. He does have some built and painted stuff still, but I don't know if he's holding on to it for personal use or not. Wyatt |

Call Brookhurst Hobbies, (714) 636-3580 link They are out of Glendale, CA, DLD HQ is nearby there, and I know for a fact they carried quite a lot of DLD stuff – have personally seen DLD 15mm tanks and scout cars on the shelf there. Granted, it was a while ago, but it never hurts to ask. |

I bought two APC's and a MBT many years ago. Very nice products- sadly I sold the APC's because I wasn't going to get around to building them. Great products, but as far as I know they've not been available to buy via the website for quite a long time. Too bad, I suspect with all the latest 15mm madness they would be doing well. |

Mardaddy – Brookhurst is in Anaheim, and near DLD (which was in Garden Grove). Last Grenadier is in Burbank. I think I saw some DLD at Brookhurst now that you mention it, but did you see stuff at Last Grenadier too? Wyatt |

Dave was great to deal with before the wheels fell off his life. I'm still hopeful that he might make a return someday. |

Do not order from him. I placed an order with him back in 2007. He originally contacted me explaining that it would be 6 weeks instead of the advertised 2 weeks to complete my order. Was very upbeat and communicated well. I paid and then spent almost 6 MONTHS going back and forth with him with repeated excuses about why the order was taking so long. At 6 months he sent me about half of my order with a promise to have the other half to me asap. Despite repeated additional e-mails I never heard from him again. It's now been about 2 years and I've chalked it up as a loss. It really bothers me that he still has his website up despite not being able to fill orders. If he is out of business or on hiatus he should update the website accordingly. I can only think that he is still taking peoples money with no intention of filling their orders. |

Too bad. Be nice if somebody else stepped up and bought the molds off him. He did have some nice stuff. |

He was a young turk in the feild when he started. Reminds me of some of the new 15mm companies. He was pumping out stuff all the time getting everyone fired up then
.POOF! |
