Quick question. The Air ID flags often seen draped across the deck of German AFVs in Poland, France, and early Barbarossa. Were they Red with White circle & Swastika Nazi flags? Or something else? |

Nazi flags appear to have been the most popular, I've not seen photos of any other type. |

Yup bloody great Swastiki Ensign draped over or, very rarely, painted on. Paras carried smaller Purple, I think could be wrong, silk panels to mark their positions. These could be placd together to make directional signs. Fatman |
