I wondered how long it would be before Naomi Novik's series of 'Temeraire' novels made it as a wargame:

Now we just need some models of dragons and their crews!

And there's a neat series of paintings based on the 'Temeraire' novels here, too:

Spartan Games make a dragon for their Uncharted Seas fantasy naval game that would be a good start – it's need the crew and harness sculpted on, though.

Thanks for the link. I've got a load of the old Grenadier Dragon Lords miniatures – the ones that came with 6mm riders, but if you don't add the rider you've just got a range of scaleless (no pun intended) dragons in flight, of various sizes. Tiny crewmen could be added, but at the appropriate scale for Temeraire I think I'd just stick with the rigging & netting.

I've got most of the major breeds covered with appropriate models, but didn't have any rules to use. This could be it – cheers! grin

PS – I've also got an email from Mirliton saying they intend to release those Dragon Lords minis in due course – the range can be viewed here:

Bah, that was my plan. Including basing it on the Wings of War mechanics. Oh well, not like I don't have dozens of other things to work on.

Don't how I missed this! Book marking the site for later reference…. I'd love to run a Temeraire game at a convention.

Now, if Ares Games will ever deliver their Sails of Glory game, you could have all sorts of fun mixing the ships and the dragons!
